There are many types of water craft including:
Power boats – typically used for fishing, cruising, pleasure activities, and water sports
Sailboats – boats that use at least one sail for power but can also have an additional power source
Houseboats – similar to an RV, a houseboat is designed for slower movement and may come equipped with a kitchen and living quarters.
Bass and fishing boats – like a power boat, but these boats will typically have additional features like; trolling motors, power poles, and fish finders.
Pontoon – boats that are built on pontoons (hollow metal cylinders)
Personal watercraft – includes jet ski’s, sea doos and wavrunners. These are smaller watercraft typically for one or three people to ride on
All of which are various types of watercraft which can be added to a watercraft insurance policy.
Coverage’s that may apply to a watercraft/ boat insurance policy are bodily injury and property damage, comprehensive and collision, uninsured and under-insured boater, medical payments, total loss replacement, and trailer trip interruption.
